Should We Let Schools Teach Vibe Coding To Our Kids? 🧒👧
To prepare them for the future
Good morning!
I was scrolling through X yesterday and came across a post from Logan Kilpatrick who is the Lead Product for Google AI.
He’s talking about teaching "vibe coding" in schools and getting kids to build apps.
I couldn't agree more.

And funnily enough, I watched one of the biggest YouTubers in the world (PewDiePie, 111 million subscribers).
He built a $20,000 computer rig with 10 GPUs and ran his own AI assistant completely locally on his machine.
Then he had his AI build features for itself.
Toggle sidebars. Search bars. Memory systems. YouTube summarizers. Voice capabilities. Deep research tools.
He literally said, "The machine is making the machine."
His AI was writing code to improve his AI.
And here’s the deal, you don’t need a $20K desktop computer tp build apps that run locally on your computer.
You Can Build Entire Apps For Your Business Or Personal Use In Just A Few Minutes
All you need are vibe coding tools like Lovable or Bolt v2.
These are AI-powered app builders that let you create fully functional apps in minutes. You type what you want. The AI builds it. You tweak it if needed. Done.
It's so simple that my 7-year-old daughter is going to build an app live on stage next week at the AI For Business event in Las Vegas.
I'm not joking.
She's 7. And she's going to show a room full of business owners how easy this has become.
No More Spending $50K To Build An App For Your Business
Before AI app builders existed, here's what it took to create a functional app:
Step 1: Find a developer (or a team of developers). Cost: $50 - $200+ per hour.
Step 2: Explain your idea in detail. Hope they understand. Wait days or weeks for a proposal.
Step 3: Pay $10,000 - $100,000+ depending on complexity.
Step 4: Wait weeks or months for version 1.0.
Step 5: Test it. Find bugs. Send feedback.
Step 6: Wait more weeks for fixes and updates.
Step 7: Repeat steps 5 and 6 until it actually works the way you wanted.
Total time: Months. Maybe a year.
Total cost: Tens of thousands of dollars minimum.
Total stress: Off the charts.
Now? You Can Do It on Your Laptop in 30 Minutes
Seriously.
You open Lovable or Bolt v2. You describe your app in plain English. The AI generates the code, the design, the functionality. All of it.
You see it live in front of you. You test it. You make changes by just typing what you want different. The AI updates it instantly.
Then you download it or deploy it. Done.
No developers. No agencies. No waiting. No $50,000 invoices.
Just you, your laptop, and an AI tool that costs less than a Netflix subscription.
This Changes Everything for Business Owners
Think about what this means:
For Coaches and Consultants: Build a client portal, a booking system, or a course platform without hiring anyone.
For Real Estate Agents: Create custom property search tools, lead capture apps, or client dashboards.
For Local Businesses: Build loyalty apps, scheduling systems, or customer feedback tools.
For Entrepreneurs: Launch MVPs (minimum viable products) in days instead of months. Test your ideas fast. Pivot faster.
You're no longer limited by budget or technical skills.
You can build what you need, when you need it, without asking permission or waiting on someone else's timeline.
That's freedom.
That's speed.
That's opportunity.
And For The Kids?
Circling back to the point of the email, kids today can start their own small businesses building apps. Not when they're 25 and have a computer science degree. Right now.
A 12-year-old could offer app-building services to local businesses for $500 or $1,000—a fraction of what developers charge—and actually deliver quality work in a few days.
A teenager could build and launch their own app-based business. A scheduling tool. A study helper. A game. A social platform for their school.

They don't need permission. They don't need investors. They don't need to wait until they're "old enough."
This is how the next generation of entrepreneurs gets started. Not by waiting. By building.
Talk soon,
Brian
