Run Hundreds Of Browser Tasks For Less Than $2 With Claude's Upcoming Task Mode
Good morning!
Want in on a little secret?
There's an upcoming feature on Claude called "Task Mode" that lets you run hundreds of browser tasks reliably with just a few prompts and the push of a button.
Think about that for a second.
Imagine telling AI: "Go scrape 100 competitor websites and pull their pricing" or "Find 50 potential clients on LinkedIn and save their info" or "Test my app on 20 different browsers and report any bugs."
Then you hit a button. And it just... does it.
All of it. Automatically.
That's Task Mode.
How Do I Know About This?

Well, let's just say I was able to talk to the right people in my network.
And I got to see what Task Mode is capable of with my own eyes.
It was able to run hundreds of browser tasks reliably for less than $2 of compute.
Not $200. Not $20.
Two dollars.
For tasks that would normally take you days of manual work or cost hundreds in hiring assistants.
How Claude Task Mode Works

Step 1: You give it a goal
You describe what you want done in plain English. "Research my top 10 competitors and summarize their marketing strategies" or "Build me a lead list of 100 fitness coaches in California."
Step 2: Claude creates a plan
It breaks down your request into individual steps and shows you the plan. You can edit it, add context, or just approve it and let it run.
Step 3: It executes autonomously
Claude works through each step sequentially. You see real-time progress updates in a dual-panel interface—one side shows the task progress, the other shows the files and outputs it's creating.
Step 4: You get the results
All the data, files, or outputs are organized and ready for you. No manual work. No babysitting the process.
Some Of The Tasks It Can Handle
Logging into accounts - your social media, CRM, or business tools—with your credentials)
Clicking buttons and navigating websites - going through checkout flows, submitting forms, or exploring dashboards
Scraping competitor data - pulling pricing, features, testimonials, or product info from their websites
Joining Facebook groups - requesting to join communities, waiting for approval, and participating
Compiling data into documents - organizing everything into spreadsheets, PDFs, or reports
Multi-step browser workflows - chaining together multiple actions that normally require your constant attention
Research and analysis across multiple sources - visiting dozens of sites and synthesizing information
Building prototypes or code - creating functional tools based on your requirements
Running tests and quality checks - testing apps, websites, or workflows for bugs
And a lot more that used to require either manual work or expensive automation tools
It’s A Manus AI Alternative
Similarities:
Both are agentic AI systems that handle complex tasks autonomously
Both can run browser automation and multi-step workflows
Both aim to shift AI from passive chat to active execution Both reduce the need for highly specific instructions
Key Differences:
Where it's from:
Manus is developed by a Chinese startup based in Singapore
Claude Task Mode is from Anthropic, a U.S.-based AI company
Integration:
Manus is standalone and it works with multiple AI models but sits outside your existing tools
Claude Task Mode is built directly into Claude, so if you're already using Claude for work, it's seamlessly integrated
Control & oversight:
Manus emphasizes broad autonomy with less user intervention
Claude gives you more structured oversight so you can review plans, modify steps, and control execution
Cost structure:
Manus uses a credit system
Claude uses token-based pricing
User interface:
Manus uses a browser extension. Think of it like adding a toolbar to Chrome or Firefox. It sits right in your browser and you can trigger it whenever you need automation
Claude Task Mode has a split-screen view where you can watch what it's doing in real-time on one side, and see all your files and results on the other side
Look, I'm being careful here because I got to see this exclusively though my network connections.
I can't share screenshots or go into full technical details publicly just yet.
But I wanted to give you a heads-up because this is coming soon. Some people are speculating it could roll out publicly in December 2025.
When it does, the people who understand how to use it are going to have a massive advantage.
They'll be automating tasks that competitors are still doing manually.
They'll be building and testing faster than anyone else in their market.
They'll be extracting insights and data that would normally require a team of assistants.
I'll share more details as soon as I'm able to.
For now, just know this: Task Mode is real. It works. And it's going to change how we work with AI.
Keep your eyes peeled. More information coming very soon.
Talk soon,
Brian
