I Built A "Winning" Lead-Generation App With 2500 Paying Users To Help Grow Our Business, And Here's What This Means For You

Good morning,

Let me start by saying that I have zero background in coding.

I have no idea how C or Python even works.

I can barely understand what HTML is supposed to do.

But I was able to create a winning lead-magnet app called "Revven" with AI—and people are willing to pay for it

This app now has over 2,500 users who are paying each month for extra cashflow.

Some users are members of our mentorship programs…

Plenty are from our membership community…

Both are willing to pay just to get the app.

Plus, there are a few thousand more who are using the basic version for free, getting introduced to our brand, and might convert into paying customers in the near future.

The Story On How All This Started

A few years ago, I was watching AI tools explode everywhere. ChatGPT, Midjourney, all these different platforms popping up left and right. And I kept thinking about how confusing it was for regular business owners to keep track of all these tools.

You'd need one subscription for writing. Another for images. Another for video. Another for voiceovers. It was getting expensive and overwhelming.

So I had an idea: What if there was one place that had everything?

This app that I built with AI has every single AI tool imaginable. We're talking about the latest chatbots, image generators, video generators, logo builders, copywriting assistants, voice cloning tools, social media content creators, and so on.

You name it, we have it. All in one place. One subscription instead of juggling 10 different tools.

People pay monthly because it saves them time and money compared to subscribing to all these tools separately. That's the value proposition. That's why it works.

Building An App Inside My App

Just As Proof Of Concept And A Little Bit Of Fun

Just recently, I added another tool inside Revven for building apps. Yes, an app-building tool inside an app I built with AI. It's like inception but for software.

With this new tool, I was able to build a simple "Ad Spend ROI Calculator" app inside the app I built. The whole thing took me about 30 minutes on my phone while I was sitting in a coffee shop.

Here's what this calculator does:

-It takes in your total ad spend, revenue generated, and additional expenses
-It then calculates your Return On Ad Spent (ROAS)
-And it lets you do this for multiple campaigns
-You can even add names for campaigns

It saves the data.

It shows you trends.

It tells you which campaigns are actually making money and which ones are bleeding cash.

Now, sure there are probably other tools out there that can do this. There are fancy analytics dashboards and expensive software platforms.

But me creating my own app in 30 minutes with my phone even with zero coding experience goes to show just how anyone can do something similar for their business and monetize it.

Think about that for a second. 30 minutes. On my phone. No coding knowledge. And I created a functional tool that solves a real problem.

Building An App With AI As A Lead Magnet = $$$

These aren't toy projects or demos. These are actual, functional, and profitable apps I was able to build with AI. Revven has real paying users.

We're now at an age where AI can build and improve itself, which is absolutely mindblowing.

You can tell AI what you want, and it writes the code.

You can tell it what's broken, and it fixes the code. You can describe a feature, and it builds the feature.

Many people don't realize you can create custom tools for your specific business needs without hiring a developer or spending months learning to code.

Need a tool that does something specific for your industry? Build it.

Want to create a lead magnet that actually provides value? Build it.

Thinking about adding a new revenue stream with a subscription tool? Build it.

The barrier to entry is basically gone now. The only limit is your imagination and your willingness to spend a few hours learning how these AI tools work.

Apps You Can Build With AI That People Are Already Paying For

  1. Fitness and Nutrition Tracking App for Coaches

Example from Tino

Build a complete fitness and nutrition tracking app that becomes an exclusive part of your paid coaching program.

This isn't just something to get emails.

This is a premium tool that lets you charge way more for your services.

Your clients log their workouts, meals, and progress all in one place.

The app tracks their calories, what they eat, their workout details, body measurements, and progress photos.

You as the coach can see everything in real-time and leave comments or make changes directly in the app.

The best part? You can brand it completely as your own.

It's not "they're using MyFitnessPal." It's "they're using YOUR app that you built specifically for your coaching method."

I've seen coaches charge an extra $50 to $100 per month just because they offer their own app as part of their program. It makes you look way more professional compared to coaches who just use spreadsheets and text messages.

You could even add features like workout video libraries, meal prep guides, or a community chat where all your clients can talk to each other. The AI can build all of this without you writing a single line of code.

  1. Home Renovation Calculator with Contractor Matching

Build a home renovation calculator that automatically finds the best contractors for people's needs.

This is huge for anyone in home services, real estate, or construction.

Homeowners can put in what they want to renovate.

Kitchen, bathroom, full remodel, whatever. They answer questions about size, materials, timeline, and budget.

The app calculates an estimated cost based on local prices.

After showing them the estimate, the app connects them with contractors in their area who can actually do the work.

You can partner with contractors and charge them a fee for every lead you send them. Or you can charge homeowners a small fee to see the contractor list.

Real estate agents could use this to help clients understand renovation costs before buying a fixer-upper.

Contractors could use it to get leads from people who already know what things cost. Home improvement stores could offer it to bring more people into their business.

The app does all the work of explaining costs and finding contractors, so by the time someone reaches out, they're already serious and know what to expect.

  1. Dedicated Shopping App for Your Ecommerce Brand

Build your own shopping app for your ecommerce brand instead of just using your website or selling on Amazon.

When someone downloads YOUR app onto their phone, you're now sitting right next to Instagram, TikTok, and Amazon on their home screen.

That's valuable space.

Your app can have all your products, one-click reordering for customers who buy regularly, special discounts only for app users, notifications for new products or sales, and a loyalty points system.

You can even add features like virtual try-ons if you're selling clothes or furniture, or a quiz that suggests products based on what people need.

The big advantage is that you own the customer relationship completely.

No algorithm changes screwing you over. No platform fees taking your money. No ads from your competitors showing up on your product pages.

Plus, customers who download a brand's app spend two to three times more on average than regular website visitors.

I know ecommerce brands paying $20,000 or more to have developers build custom apps. You can build the same thing in a weekend with AI tools.

  1. Subscription-Based Niche AI Tool

Build a subscription AI tool that's already trained to handle work in your specific industry like engineering, electrical work, car repair, legal services, accounting, or any specialized field.

The key is that you're not building a general AI. You're building a specialized AI that solves problems specific to your industry. And professionals in that industry will happily pay $30 to $100 per month for a tool that saves them hours of research and work.

Here's the strategic thinking behind this

When you build your own tool, you control everything.

You control the user experience. You control the pricing. You control what data you collect. You control how it integrates with your other business systems.

And most importantly, you own the relationship with the user.

When you send people to someone else's calculator or tool, they're building a relationship with that brand, not yours. When you build your own, every interaction reinforces YOUR brand.

Plus, it positions you as an innovator. That builds credibility and trust faster than almost anything else.

It's Actually Easy

Getting started is super easy that anyone can do it, even if they're not tech savvy. I'm serious about this.

If you can describe what you want in plain English, you can build an app now.

That's how these AI tools work.

You literally just talk to them like you're talking to a developer, and they write the code for you.

You can use tools like Revven (obviously I'm biased here), Lovable, Bolt v2, Gemini 3 or Replit. Each one has slightly different strengths, but they all let you build functional apps without knowing how to code.

Most of these have free tiers so you can experiment without spending money. You only pay when you're ready to launch something real.

Full Guide On How To Use Lovable To Build Apps On Next Friday’s Newsletter Release

I will release a full step-by-step guide on how to use Lovable to build your first app. One you can use as a lead magnet to get more sales, or as a subscription app that generates monthly recurring revenue.

This isn't going to be some high-level overview. I'm talking screen-by-screen, click-by-click instructions that anyone can follow.

The Bottom Line

You don't need to know how to code anymore. You don't need to hire expensive developers who charge $10,000+ for a simple tool. You don't need to wait months for something to be built.

You just need an idea, a few hours of time, and the right AI tool.

I'm living proof of that. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about coding to running a profitable SaaS app with thousands of paying users. And if I can do it, so can you.

The skills you need aren't technical anymore. The skills you need are:

—>Being able to identify problems in your business or industry Being able to clearly describe what you want

—>Being willing to experiment and iterate Understanding your customers well enough to build something they'll actually use That's it. Those are the skills that matter now.

What To Do Next

If this sounds interesting to you, here's what I recommend:

First, think about one problem in your business that you solve repeatedly. Something where you find yourself explaining the same process or doing the same calculation over and over.

That's your first app idea.

You never know where this could lead for you.

Brian
