Bernie Wants A "Pause" On AI Data Centers—That Among Other Big AI News This Week
Good morning!
Okay, I'm not going to lie. This week was WILD for AI news.
Bernie Sanders wants to hit the brakes on AI. Google just made creating ads stupid easy. And regular people with no team, no office are building real businesses with AI alone.
Instead of just picking one story, we're covering ALL of them.
That's why I'm up at 3 AM watching AI news like it's a Netflix series. 😅
Let's get into it.
News #1: Bernie Sanders Wants A"Pause" On AI Data Center Construction Until Laws Catch Up

On March 25, Bernie Sanders and AOC introduced the AI Data Center Moratorium Act. It's a bill to stop all new AI data center construction until Congress passes real protections for workers, consumers, and the environment. The bill probably won't pass, but it's a sign that not everyone is okay with AI growing this fast without rules.
News #2: Create Assets For Your Google Ads With The Latest Gemini Update

Google just dropped Veo inside Google Ads Asset Studio. You can now turn a regular photo into a video ad in minutes with no production crew needed. It also supports AI voiceover and real-time voice agents, so your ads can literally talk to people.
News #3: Gemini Can Now Build Entire Functional Websites
Google DeepMind released Gemini 3.1 Flash-Lite and it powers a browser that generates full, working websites in real time as you click around. No templates. No pre-built pages. Just AI writing the whole thing on the fly.
News #4: Rise Of Solopreneurship Thanks To AI

There are now 29.8 million solopreneurs in the US and AI is the reason why. 64% say their business wouldn't have grown without it, and 74% scaled without hiring a single person. One person. One laptop. Real revenue.
News #5: Claude Work Tools Now Available on Mobile
Anthropic just brought Claude's work tools to your phone. You can now access Figma designs, build Canva decks, and check Amplitude dashboards all from your mobile without switching apps. Your phone just became a legit workstation. No excuses. 😅
What Do You Think?
What do you think about this week's news? Especially the AI data center bill. Are you on Bernie's side, or do you think it's too extreme?
Hit reply and let me know your thoughts.

88% resolved. 22% stayed loyal. What went wrong?
That's the AI paradox hiding in your CX stack. Tickets close. Customers leave. And most teams don't see it coming because they're measuring the wrong things.
Efficiency metrics look great on paper. Handle time down. Containment rate up. But customer loyalty? That's a different story — and it's one your current dashboards probably aren't telling you.
Gladly's 2026 Customer Expectations Report surveyed thousands of real consumers to find out exactly where AI-powered service breaks trust, and what separates the platforms that drive retention from the ones that quietly erode it.
If you're architecting the CX stack, this is the data you need to build it right. Not just fast. Not just cheap. Built to last.
